[Terry immediately tenses at that fear that Maxxie feels-- it's too close for him to ignore and he's still figuring out what to even do with that kind of thing, but Maxxie keeps talking and Terry relaxes. Sighing softly.]

[Maxxie gives him a comforting squeeze.]

I dunno what else you can do. Except for working on music with me. And maybe not telling anyone.

[It's something that they have tinkered with and joked around about and this is. Kind of half a joke.]

[Terry laughs and lifts his head up to kiss Maxxie.]

Whenever you want.

[Maxxie makes a pleased sound and noses Terry's face for more kissing.]

[Terry smiles and sits up a little more to kiss Maxxie properly, and he cups Maxxie's face in his hands as he pulls back to just admire his boyfriend for a moment.]

You're pretty amazing, you know.

[Maxxie smirks and bites his lip all cocky and gross.]

Yeah, I do.

[He brushes his thumb on Terry's chin affectionately.]

You are too.

[traumatizing]

[Terry has to fight the urge not to immediately reply that he's not, and he goes back to resting his head on Maxxie's shoulder with another sigh. Always uneasy with the compliments, he just doesn't see what other people do.]

I really don't get why you think that.

[He did not fight the urge very well.]

[Maxxie's eyebrows knit together, kind of concerned and kind of sad. He rubs Terry's back trying to be soothing.]

'Cause you are. You're great. You're funny and sweet and cute and you make me happy.

[traumatizing]

[He makes a small noise that indicates he disagrees, but he can't really fight Maxxie on that, can he. It's kind of impossible to tell someone that they have the wrong take on this incredibly subjective thing. So instead Terry cuddles up a little closer (can he even get any closer?) and forces a bit of levity into his voice when he speaks.]

Weird. I feel the same about you.

[Maxxie grins and nuzzles his face into Terry's hair.]

God it almost sounds like we like each other or something.

[traumatizing]

[Terry laughs.] Shit. I wasn't supposed to let you know.

[Maxxie gasps and pulls back a little to look down at Terry.]

Terry... will you be my boyfriend?

[traumatizing]

[Terry has to bite his lip to stop himself from laughing, and he sits up with a hand on his chest.]

I don't know, Max. What will our bands say?

[Maxxie shrugs one shoulder casually.]

Probably that we need to stop snogging in public.

[traumatizing]

Well that's not going to happen.

Well, in that case...

[Maxxie puts his hands on Terry's waist and leans for a kiss. You know the kind that is the beginning of a good old couch make out.]

[traumatizing]

[Terry laughs and cups Maxxie's face with his hands, shifting a little closer so he can get all in Maxxie's business for this kiss.]

[Maxxie wraps his arms loosely around Terry and pulls him down to the couch on top of him. This is gonna be a full-blown make out and everything regardless of the danger of some other Flashstep walking in.]

[Well okay. He probably should have some objection to this in the name of decency, but Terry really doesn't. He's just happy to be here kissing his boyfriend in the comfort of this semi-public space instead of arguing with Garnet.]
